Kensington K38067US Wall/Air Ultra Compact Notebook Power Adapter Review
I've been lugging around the auto/air/wall adapter that I bought from HP for my EliteBook 8530w. The thing is gigantic and weighs a ton. Then I ran into a colleague at an event who had one of these for his 8530w (which is power hungry, btw) and I was thrilled to learn I had an option! Bought this right away and WOW it's really incredible what a difference it is NOT to carry the monster from HP. This thing is small, light, and the air adapter is just a cable that goes straight from the airline jack into the computer--doesn't even requre the small power pack when you're in the air. VERY nice!! And the extra USB jack keeps my iPhone charging when I am plugged into a wall. The only thing that's keeping me from rating it 5* is that it does seem to get hot. That concerns me, but I'll keep an eye on it. I'm now on the road for a month with the thing, and if you don't see an update from me by the end of June, 2010, then you know I survived and that the Kensington worked well!
