I wanted alternate power for use in the car. This setup works, but only when the car is running. Apparently, even though it only requires 2 amps, using the power port in the car doesn't provide quite enough power unless the engine is running and the alternator is providing power. The 10 ft cord is nice. The "standard" cords are only 3 ft.
This seems to be a good value for the price.
