Bought this to move my laptop (Viao VGN-FW465J) to another room for longer periods without having to lug the original adapter around. It works just as reliably as the original. The connector holds in place at the laptop fine; I've not had any issues with it coming loose. The cable from the box to the laptop connector is just a bit short for my purposes, but it's easy enough to work around that. In all, much better than paying the crazy prices for Sony's OEM part.
