While this product supplies proper voltage, it does not provide proper amperes which causes battery failure after a time. I was pleased that it worked for the model they specified, was disappointed its amps are so low. It takes 4.5amps to run the laptop properly these power supplies only provide 1.3amps max rated. If you don't use the battery then this power pack is perfect, however in the information for sale of this item it should state not for laptops with active battery charging capability, because without proper amps the battery will fail if its the new smart lithium ion battery, it basically stops charging the batter after a time and it is essentially dead even if you do get a proper amp power pack which I did. Stay away if your going to use this on one that has a decent battery, if you have removed the battery this unit works OK..
