The power cord / brick was a true Toshiba product. The original cord/brick that came with my laptop lasted 2.5 years before failing when I dropped it on the concrete floor at work. This replacement cord/brick failed after 4 months in my laptop bag. The strain reliefs were insufficient. The wire broke inside the insulation from just winding the cord the way it was meant to be wound with the velcro strap. Now I need another one!
