After carefully considering all the choices and price ranges in Amazon for an adapter for my Dell Inspiron 1420 notebook computer, I selected this one. I needed and extra adapter for my office. It shipped just a few hours after I ordered it, and I received it in two days. Although I have only had it for a few days, it seems to work perfectly and may even be better than the one that came with my notebook---which has a two pronged plug, for example, compared to a three pronged plug on the one I ordered.

I made certain that the adapter I ordered had the same "specs" as the one that came with my computer---especially a 90 Watt output. I have read in other reviews for 1420 power adapters that the adapters they received would run the computer when plugged in, though not charge the battery. Something all of these adapters had in common was that they were 65 Watt outputs. If you want to be able to both operate your notebook and also charge its battery, be sure to get an adapter with a 90 Watt output.

I bought this adapter without the benefit of any reviews posted for it. I hope this review helps people to be a little more compfortable ordering this adapter. It's a good adapter. It works, and the company delivers it quickly.
