This power supply came in a timely manner and seems to work great- better than the original power supply actually. However I'm a bit worried that although this unit is listed as a replacement for the Gateway PA 1900-15, it does not put out the same power. The PA 1900-15 puts out 4.74 amps, while this model puts out a substantially smaller 3.42 amps. This equates to a 25W decrease in power as the original Gateway power supply was rated at 90W and this unit is only 65W.

I am not an electrical engineer or anything, but I've been around electronics long enough to know that starving them of adequate power is not a good idea. Can anyone allay my fears of this thing burning up my wife's laptop???
