My Gateway laptop became useless to me when the power adaptor stopped working due to a short. I contacted Gateway and they were more than willing to sell me a replacement for $59 plus shipping. I didn't want to pay that much so I went searching on Amazon and found this one for a price that I felt more comfortable with. I was a bit skeptical since it was so cheap and had no reviews, but since I was not able to use my computer anyway I decided I would take a chance. I'm very glad that I did. Well, it's not the heavy duty adaptor that I originally had, but I didn't really care. That thing got a short less than a year after purchase. This was only around $27 in total, I plugged it in, it worked....I'M HAPPY!!!! It looks fine and came FAST!!! I don't know how long it will last but for the cost I could replace it again and still be ahead.
